| u do pi times diameter... 3.14 times the diameter of the circle will get u the answer

| Area = πr^2 CirCUMference = 2πr or if yo have the diameter and not the radius you can do --> πd
By 'x' he meant multiply ,but there's no need for the multiplication sign because it's next to pi. And, yes r is the radius. Radius is half the diameter ... to find diameter from radius multiply the radius by 2.. to find the radius from the diameter divide the diameter by 2..
